Sarava 2020 – Orange

Beautiful textured white wine from the Vinho Verde, or green wine, region of Portugal. Very aromatic Made from a 100% Trajadura grapes. After fermentation left to age together with the skins of the grapes, Portugese calling this ‘Curtimenta’. Most commonly known as skin contact wine or sometimes called ‘orange wine’. The process of agin it with the skin releases colors from those skins giving the white wines a bit of color. Usually there are also more tannins released that can be found in the skin, stabilizing the wines more naturally. This wine is unfiltered nor fined and a small amount of sulfites are added before bottling

Saravá is a small project by Miguel, head winemaker for Aphros Wines, and his wife Leli and was founded in 2018. Saravá is an Afro-Brazilian word used as a mantra to invoke the force that moves nature, but is also remains a greeting similar to “Hail!” – Like a wish of good luck.
